TCA: TRICHLOROACETIC ACID PEELS

Here Are the Most Commonly Asked  Questions and Answers About This Procedure

What is Trichloroacetic Acid?
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) is used as an intermediate to deep peeling agent in   concentrations ranging from 20%- 30% depth of penetration into the reticular dermis.

How Do I know if I need a TCA Peel?

A chemical peel is a body treatment    technique used to improve and smooth the   texture of the facial skin using a chemical solution that causes dead skin to slough off and eventually peel off.  The regenerated skin is smoother and less wrinkled.   A chemical peel removes superficial  blemishes and drastically improves skin pigmentation problems.

What Will the Treatment be like?

The treatment is simply the applying the TCA to the skin with a brush.  Your provider will then use a cooling technique of their choice for  comfort.

How Should I Care for my Skin After Treatment?

After a TCA Peel treatment, there are a series of topicals your provider will have you apply on a specified schedule. Be sure to avoid sun exposure and exercise. Use a SPF at all times.

What Down Time Should I Expect?

Like any procedure, down time varies from person to person. Discuss with your provider what to expect based on skin type and area treated. Full results are expected six weeks after the procedure.
